Sunday was cold and involved running around getting lots of little jobs done. I wore some of my old pieces that I love and mix and match all the time – real wardrobe staples.
Hope everyone had a great Valentines weekend!

Had a fabulous weekend just gone as got to see my beautiful friend Sarah marry the man of her dreams, Matt, then spent Sunday recovering! It was hot and humid so we walked to feed the ducks and I whipped on my new shorts from River Island.
Things were getting desperate when I was hunting for something to wear to the wedding. I was going to get this Cameo dress but am glad I didn’t as another wedding guest was wearing it (although it did look fab so I might just have to invest!) instead I went for my faithful wedding attire brand Trelise Cooper, this beautiful dress was especially good buying as was on sale at Lynn Woods and discounted by 50%! (unfortunately sold out there now). Didn’t get many pics of my outfit at the wedding as I was having far too much fun catching up with friends and indulging in bubbles but you can get the idea. Wore my sparkly Jimmy Choo heels which were tried on by a variety of friends (men included) later in the evening!
On Sunday I was all about comfort and keeping cool. I ordered this skort (which I think definitely look like shorts though?!) from Asos a while back and it was perfect weather to give them their first run. They have since sold out, but the new season version is currently available from River Island here. I teamed them with a very old (but a favourite!) black singlet from cheap as chips Supre and my last season black sandals from Mimco. Similar singlet here and sandals here.
Yesterday was a public holiday (Labour Day) here in NZ and unfortunately the weather in Christchurch was a little miserable. It did clear up enough in the afternoon for us to get out in the garden, and the mornings wet weather encouraged a brunch date at our local cafe Fava.
I am in LOVE with my new Adriano Goldschmied jeans that I picked up while in Perth – they honestly feel like I am wearing leggings, in fact they are so comfortable that I wore them on the back to back flights home. Along with the amazing fit they are a fantastic colour and have just the right amount of distressing. Expect to see these a lot!

With crazy, unseasonably warm weather on Saturday I was able to wear a floaty shirt normally reserved for summer and pretend that snow wasn’t forecast for Sunday.

Jeans – Asos
Boots – old (similar here and here)
Watch – Marc Jacobs
Finally got the links taken out so I am able to wear my shiny new bling – loving it teamed with black and white stripes.

Forgot to take photos of brunching attire this weekend and tried to do a flat layout of my look, but I wasn’t happy with the result. Instead, you get a photo of me at the top of the Rapaki track on Sunday afternoon, after huffing and puffing my way up the steepest sections and boring my lovely friends with my incessant ‘chat’.
View from the top looking over Lyttelton Harbour. We live in a beautiful city; this view is an hours walk from our house.

Beanie belongs to the husband!
We headed to the Tannery yesterday to have a squizz in the shops and enjoy the sunshine, while having a lovely lunch in the courtyard of The Brewery. Their wood fired pizza is delicious; we had the Horatane which is generously covered in blue cheese, pear, thyme and smoked bacon on an amazing crispy base.
The Tannery has brought life to a very industrialised area of Christchurch. I love how many interesting and well respected retailers have got on board with this development and it is wonderful to see the car park full, meaning Cantabrians are keen to support such ventures.
On the way home we stopped in front of a warehouse garage door so Eli could quickly snap these pics of what I wore.
