Weekend Wardrobe {Double Edition}

Had a fabulous weekend just gone as got to see my beautiful friend Sarah marry the man of her dreams, Matt, then spent Sunday recovering! It was hot and humid so we walked to feed the ducks and I whipped on my new shorts from River Island.

Things were getting desperate when I was hunting for something to wear to the wedding. I was going to get this Cameo dress but am glad I didn’t as another wedding guest was wearing it (although it did look fab so I might just have to invest!) instead I went for my faithful wedding attire brand Trelise Cooper, this beautiful dress was especially good buying as was on sale at Lynn Woods and discounted by 50%! (unfortunately sold out there now). Didn’t get many pics of my outfit at the wedding as I was having far too much fun catching up with friends and indulging in bubbles but you can get the idea. Wore my sparkly Jimmy Choo heels which were tried on by a variety of friends (men included) later in the evening!

On Sunday I was all about comfort and keeping cool. I ordered this skort (which I think definitely look like shorts though?!) from Asos a while back and it was perfect weather to give them their first run. They have since sold out, but the new season version is currently available from River Island here. I teamed them with a very old (but a favourite!) black singlet from cheap as chips Supre and my last season black sandals from Mimco. Similar singlet here and sandals here. IMG_2473

Weekend Wardrobe

The sun shone brightly for Eli’s first Father’s Day. We headed out with my parents for dinner and I chose to juxtapose the dainty white silhouette of my dress with black leather and ripped jeans.

I hope all the Dad’s in your lives had a lovely day on Sunday too x

Sexy Shoulders

The off the shoulder look is one that has made a number of comebacks over the years and expect to see it in full force again this summer. Whether cropped, floral or lace, get in on the trend in the form of a top or dress, knowing that you will be perfectly attired for long, hot summer days and nights.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone x

I have to say Kim K that you really got it right this time with your wedding dress! Move over Vera Wang, Givenchy Haute Couture designer Riccardo Tisci created a breath-taking gown for the new Mrs West (hopefully third time lucky right Kim?!)

Some didn’t rate the panel at the front likening it to a bib, however I think it allowed the lace detailing and stunning shape of the gown to shine and I am so pleased she didn’t over do it this time with accessories, instead opting for a chic hair-do and minimal jewellery. Kanye has definitely groomed her well!

Not to be outdone, Poppy Delevingne who recently married her fiancé James Cook, looked stunning in her Chanel couture dress (King Karl (Lagerfeld) really can do no wrong). Poppy was another bride who opted for a demure hair style and minimal extras, allowing the dress to really steal the show.

And then Poppy and James went and got hitched a second time in Marrakech, Morocco! Ah-MAZING!!! This time she channeled a hippy vibe and wore a beautiful Emilio Pucci dress for the ceremony, before changing into a white crochet dress with bright coloured beading for the after party. Sounds like a rocking wedding week to me!

Lovely in Lace

Beyonce’s figure-hugging white and sheer floral lace Michael Costello gown that she rocked at the Grammys has made both fashion hit and miss lists. For me Beyonce manages to pull it off, remaining classy while showing some skin and not looking too much like a bride.
