Would it be wrong to add another pair of animal print flats to my wardrobe? These classy little numbers (a bow and metallic finish!) are calling my name – am hoping to find them in Oz so I can try them on!
I have always loved the vibrancy that Italian fashion house Missoni brings to it’s textiles and clothing designs. The way the bright colours are woven together is fun and fashionable, and definitely makes an outfit or room pop.
You can imagine my delight when Missoni and Target combined forces to create a much more affordable range and that we happened to be in Australia during the launch. For over 14 months, Target and Missoni worked together on a collection that reflects their shared values of style and quality. It’s a limited edition, which means once stock is sold out, there will be no more to come so get in quick!
There is something for everyone with clothing, shoes, home decor and lifestyle products for men, women and children, all sporting the traditional Missoni style of mixed colours and patterns. I brought home a hooded towel for Axel that I am pretty impressed with quality wise (it’s super soft and the colours are gorgeous) as well as some tea towels and a 2015 diary. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and enjoy the public holiday on Monday if you are a kiwi! X
Here is a photo journal of some of the highlights of our amazing week in Perth. We had such an incredible time with our beautiful friends Leila and Scott who showed us some of the best that West Australia has to offer.

Mexsii bedheads are FAB! While in Noosa we watched The Block Glasshouse on TV and my eyes were immediately drawn to the gorgeous splash of colour that this amazing bedhead brought to one of the team’s bedrooms.
Mexsii is the brainchild of Merryn, an upholsterer and interior decorator, who was frustrated with the lack of inspiring bedheads in the industry. Sarah, the other half of Mexsii Bedheads, holds a background in marketing and has a passion for small business. Each artwork has been created exclusively for Mexsii, is inspired by nature and the bedheads are made in Melbourne with minimal wastage and impact on the environment.
With a kids collection as well, Mexsii has a bedhead for everyone – I am definitely feeling inspired. Check out the whole collection here.
So we survived Axel’s first international trip without any tears shed on either flight by anyone! It was so nice to see some sunshine and swim in the ocean, and of course catch up with Eli’s parents. Here are a few snaps from our trip.
Continuing on with my Australian content, today I am featuring gorgeous Sydney based bedlinen and art company Castle and Things.
Fluro colours, simple yet bold graphics and using interesting media such as paint and felt, ensures Castle and Things products promote a sense of fun and whimsy. Yet another Australian company with a sunny outlook that makes you smile.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone x

Australian designer, illustrator and creative director Laura Blythman is renowned for her colourful, hand-drawn illustrations and lettering. She is so good that her skills are much sought after and she has worked with large companies such as Cotton On kids, Zoo York, Typo and T2 teas.
I love her quirky characters, bright use of colour, interesting typography and that she often includes glitter in her works! Her prints would add a pop of colour to any home and would look especially good in a child’s room.
