Roll on 2014!

2013 was an amazing year! I married the love of my life in January, we spent countless good times with family and friends, I started the blog after deciding to turn a depressing broken wrist into something more positive, and I continued to find great reward in teaching.

I am super excited about what 2014 holds! All going well it will definitely bring about some massive changes as we welcome our first little bebe to the world in April!

Instead of making New Years resolutions (I find them so hard to stick to!) I instead like to go for lifestyle goals and with massive changes to our way of life in the pipeline, 2014 seems like a good year to roll out a few!

1. Be cleaner and greener – we throw out so much food wastage so I want to go back to planning the weeks menu, rather than shopping on a whim every Sunday!

2. Regular friend ‘meetings’- not that we don’t do this already, but I want to ensure it continues when my life is flipped upside down in April! Whether it be for coffee, dinner, a walk, or a glass of wine, making time to spend with friends is like food for your soul.

3. Run – I have been going to the gym and completing a token workout every few days but am so excited to run again later in the year! Think I’ll get myself a new pair of runners and keep them in the box so they are a little encouraging treat for when I feel like my joints are good to go again! There is nothing like running to clear the mind, re-energise and make you feel good again.

4. Be realistic – I have pretty high expectations for myself and like to succeed in all that I do. For the first time in a long time I am about to begin a journey of which no matter how much preparation I have completed, I feel the fear of not knowing what to do! I know there will be times this year of immense frustration, awe, excitement and complete despair and I will need to remind myself that I don’t need to have all the answers right away.

I hope that you had a fabulous time ringing in the New Year, that it gave you time to reflect on all your great achievements of 2013 and that you are now thinking of what good times are ahead in 2014!

Thank you all so much for following my little blog! Happy New Year everyone! X
