Light as Art

Everywhere I look these days I am struck by a variety of light sources used as art / decor items in stylish homes.

I would love to get my hands on a funky little neon sculptural item, a bold light box, or a vintage carnival letter to add interest and a little whimsy to our home.

Page Thirty Three has these super cool cinematic light boxes which allow you change the letters around, spelling out whatever message you wish.

Fromage La Rue can create any Vegas Boneyard letter you like.

And the ultimate of all light as artworks would be a neon piece by Chris Bracey. He used to make signs for Soho sex shops but now his pieces are coveted artworks. Check out the website devoted to his workspace in East London called Gods Own Junkyard which housesΒ new and reclaimed neon signs, lights from fairgrounds and arcades, vintage signs from America, as well as original pieces he makes on site.

Love Sweet Love

Have a wonderful weekend everyone x
