Sooooo excited about curtains today! The new drapes we had made at Mackenzie and Willis arrived yesterday and they have really lifted our dining / living area.
The installation guy arrived earlier than expected so I didn’t get to snap any before shots, but I did take a photo of the ugly brown fabric that originally adorned the windows!
Picking the fabric was a challenge – originally we were thinking of going for a bold Designers Guild fabric, however we decided to continue with the cool Scandinavian colour theme and bring pops of colour in through other soft furnishings and art works. (We currently have an ottoman being made which will bring an element of colour to our living area).
We opted for a silvery grey silk and I love the freshness the modern, but subtle fabric design brings to the space.
I’m now thinking I need to re-jig our art works around and move our Lester Hall War Dog print to a different spot as these limited edition prints by Thomas Lewis we brought when living in London would suit the corner better. Oooo I love playing house!
